BREAK THE SILENCE WHEN YOU/A LOVED ONE NEEDS HELP!

On right, my best friend in high school with author. Sadly, he found life too unbearable to live. RIP

AUTHOR'S NEXT ROMANCE BOOK SERIES DEALS THOSE WHO THINK ABOUT SUICIDE

All ages, even children as young as four years old, can have suicidal thoughts.

Mental illness rarely has an instant cure; rather it is a life long condition that can be monitored and helped by medical staff.

ALWAYS TAKE A SUICIDAL THREAT SERIOUSLY.

Paragliding and suicidal ideation will play major parts in this series.

My aunt, who lost the will to live after the death of her daughter and mother. RIP

My good friend & fellow military wife & romance author, was a victim of a murder / suicide in March 1997. She and both her sons were killed by her husband who then committed suicide. RIP

Why I am writing a fiction romance series using this topic of suicide?  Why?  Because I’ve lived through THREE tragic suicides in my own family, TWO suicides of close friends, and ONE suicide attempt and three stays in the psych ward for me.  I hope my book series called A DOG TO WATCH OVER ME – as yet unsold – let people know that with medical treatment and a good support system, you can have a GREAT life with loved ones IF YOU GET HELP.  Like me!  (43 years happily married.)  I want to make a dent in those tragic NAMI stats.  Wish me luck selling this series.  The only way I know to lower those grim stats is to write.  There is hope and treatment out there, so please spread the word.  FYI, many people chose NOT to reveal their mental illness so as to fit seamlessly into society.  That is THEIR choice and is NOT to be faulted in any way.  Accept the outspoken or the silent, and pray for hope for the suicidal.  Hugs to everyone, 2-footed and 4, who brightened my dark mind, especially my husband.  The BEST day in my life and will always be was the day we met.  Thank you for always being there for me, and hugs to all of you.  Anne Marie
